When buyers start to look at homes in this area of Cary they find that they are looking at homes built between the mid 80’s to the mid 90’s. When looking at homes of this age three big questions arise:

  • Has the roof been replaced?
  • How old in the HVAC?
  • Have any renovations been done?

  • The HVAC was replaced 8 years ago.

Some of the immediate objections I have received from prospects have been: well, the home still has white walls, old brass finishings and the bathrooms haven’t been touched.

My response has been that those are renovations and upgrades are ones that you as a buyer can financially plan for and decorate the areas as you desire. Having just retiled my bathroom and had the entire interior of my home painted I can tell you that it will all cost you less than it did for my seller to replace the HVACs or the siding *If you want any advice on referrals for work to be done, let me know. The home is move in ready without the worry of whether or not the furnace or hot water heater will kick the bucket one night this winter and you are all of a sudden having to shell out money for new systems during the holiday season.
